If you are limited for time, a fun short term commitment is kayaking on the French Broad through town. You can put in just past the NC Arboretum on Hwy 191/Brevard Road and take out at the West Asheville transfer station. You should factor about 2.5 hours after dropping cars, etc. This section is great because you get an insider's view of the Biltmore Estate. Happy paddling!

Well I am doing a personal blog of adventures to accompany the real estate blog. Something like "where to play." I am into outdoor activities, but will also try to put things in here like great restaurants, etc. too.

On Sunday, my husband, Sandy, and I got out ice climbing. It's hard to believe that it is only fall and we were able to get out. Sandy actually got three days of ice climbing in in a row at three different spots.

Anyways, we went up to Roan Mountain. We ran into one of my former coworkers, Clinton, so it was fun to climb with him as well. I was using Sandy's old crampons which has shorter points than I am used to so my feet slid on me a couple of times and I bruised my knees pretty bad on the ice. Later I got pegged in the chin with a chunk of ice that came from above me. Nonetheless it was great fun and by the end of the day I felt like I was really connecting on the ice with both my axes and my feet.

Welcome to my real estate blog

Welcome to my real estate blog
